Physics

 

                With the objective to teach and train students in the complete spectrum of experimental and theoretical physics at highest level, the department of Physics was established in the year 1960 with the initiation of under graduate course. Post Graduate course in Physics was introduced in 2004 with the view to enhance the contribution towards higher education and research.

 B. Sc. (Bachelor of Science)

 M. Sc. (Master of Science) – Two Years Course

 Department is in Limelight with:- 

  • Well equipped sophisticated Laboratories.
  • Air Conditioned computational Lab. with networking facility.
  • LCD Projector facility for class work, seminars, presentations etc.
  • Well stocked departmental library with an easy access for every student.
  • Access to online journals with inflibnet facility as per UGC.
  • Highly dedicated, qualified and sincere faculty members.
  • Three faculty members are doctorate and others are pursuing for their Ph.D. degree.
  • Department has produced 5 gold medals till now and ensured its university positions every year.
  • Allocation of books to needy and deserving students free of cost.
  • National Conference, Seminar, Science Fare, extension lectures are regularly organized.
  • Faculty often visits nearby colleges for conducting practical exams and delivery extension lectures.
  • Faculty members regularly served as members of PG and UG Board of studies, Panjab University Chandigarh.
  • Educational / Recreational Trips are organized annually to ensure all round development of the students.

  • Whole department has Wi-Fi connectivity to provide modern teaching and learning environment.
