Institution to the constitutional obligations: values, rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens 

1.GURU TEG BAHADUR JI’S 400th Birth Anniversary was celebrated by PG Deptt. Of Punjabi in the month of July. Department of Punjabi celebrated the event by organising various competitions like Online Poem Recitation, Quiz Competition and Essay writing. Also in collaboration with departments of English and History activities like Online Elocution and Webinar on topics relating to the life of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji were held to add to the celebration.

2.A celebration for one week i.e. from 14th August to 21st August2020 was observed on the Campus as Van Mahotsav (Tree plantation campaign) i.e. Each One Plant One; to make the people of the campus sensitive towards forest conservation and their environment. During this week, students and teachers participated in a plantation drive to raise awareness about the importance of trees.

3.Department of Biology Celebrated ‘AKSHAY URJA DIVAS’ on 20th August 2020 in the form of Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competitions. The motive was to make the students aware of the developments of renewable energy in India.

4. Teachers Day: 05 September 2020: Teacher's Day is celebrated to acknowledge the challenges, hardships, and the special role that teachers play in our lives. Teachers Day is one such event to which students and teachers equally look forward. This year a Plantation Drive was organised by The NSS department to celebrate this day in which teachers along with students of various courses participated with full enthusiasm. 

5. International Day for Preservation of Ozone Layer was celebrated by the college on 16th September2020 by organising an Essay Writing Competition for students. The day was celebrated to offer an opportunity to focus global attention and action on this vital environmental issue.

6.NSS Day:  Our college runs an NSS unit to inculcate the social welfare thoughts in the students, and to provide service he society without any prejudice. NSS volunteers work hard day and night to ensure that everyone in our society who is needy gets every possible help from them so that they can also enhance their standards and lead a life of dignity in the society with all of us. This year an Online Extension lecture was organised on 24th Sept.2020 to enlighten the youth in this regard. 

7.Gandhi Jayanti: PG Department of Political science and the Gandhian Studies Centre organised an international Webinar and an online Poster Making Competition to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji. 

8. Ekta Diwas Celebrations were made by the institution on 31st October,202 in the form of Poster Making and Online Pledge taking Ceremony. The day is observed with patriotic events to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel – the man who played an important role in the unification of India. 

9. In the month of November, to mark the celebration of Green and Safe Diwali, the depth Biology organised an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Hazards of Fireworks” to make students understand and appreciate the fact that we don’t move away from the real spirit of the ‘Fiesta of Light’. Also, the NSS unit of college-age organised events like Diya making, Rangoli and Chart making competitions for Green Diwali observation.

10.Voters’ Day was celebrated on 25th January 2020 by the NSS unit in association with the Political Science Department in a form of a Poster Making Competition to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process.

11.Poster Making Competition and Online quiz was collocated by our NSS Unit to observe the Road Safety Month. The celebration is marked from mid of January to mid of February. Road safety is something important that has to be followed at all times to ensure the safety of the operators of a vehicle, passengers, and pedestrians.

12.World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2020toencourage the protection of our environment. The aim was to create awareness among more and more individuals to take certain actions against the growing strain on Earth’s natural ecosystem. Thus, a Poster making and Slogan writing competition was organised by the department of zoology to promote thought among students.

13.In the national Yoga Day-21 June 2020: For making people aware of physical and mental illnesses and providing solutions through yoga, we celebrate yoga day every year. We aim to develop a habit of meditation for peace of mind, self-awareness which is necessary to survive in a stress-free environment, especially in the current era of pandemics. Our college encourages yoga activities and Sports Department organized an Online Yoga Competition for the same on this day.
