Research papers as per the prescribed format are invited for publication in the research journal ‘Shodhdhara’,  ISSN: 2320-2726 for the next issue. The papers submitted will be reviewed by referees for publication.  Contributors are requested to submit two hard copies of the paper. The paper should also be e-mailed to the editors. The paper should not exceed 3000 words and should be typed in Times New Roman with a font size of 12 with single-line spacing. For papers written in Punjabi, only Asees font and for those written in Hindi, Kruti Dev 10 will be accepted. The papers should be free from grammatical errors. Kindly follow MLA pattern with references embedded in the text and citations at the end. The authors must also attach a brief note about their occupation, academic interests and achievements along with their present address for correspondence.  Explanatory notes, if any should follow the main text of the paper and should appear in the same sequence in which these are referred to in the text. References should follow at the end of the paper. All submissions should be addressed to the Chief Editor, DAV Shodhdhara, DAV College, Abohar – 152116.

 Last dates for submission: 15 April for summer issues and 15 Oct for winter issues

Membership form duly filled in, can be downloaded from www.davcollegeabohar.com and sent to the chief editor. The contributors must fill the copyright form and the certificate of originality failing which the papers will be summarily rejected. We don’t accept any publication fee. The editors can reject any paper if it does not meet the recommendations of advisory or peer-review committee even if the author is a member.

The research papers are invited throughout the year though they are compiled for volumes published twice a year. The papers are scrutinized by the selection committee and original research work is accepted. The editors may reject the papers that are not up to the mark or the papers are sent back to the contributors for revision if these require slight modifications. The respective editors of languages and social sciences then recommend the papers to the chief editor who gives the final nod for publication.

 We accept original theoretical Research papers or research articles in soft as well as hard copy (Microsoft Word only). The documents must include name and affiliation details in the body of your submission.  Submission e-mail must include the statement claiming that you have read the submission guidelines, you agree to the policy of the journal and that the submission is original and does not contain plagiarized material.  An abstract of the article of about 100-150 words and Keywords must be attached. Authors should note that the main body of the text should be prepared in such a way that no formatting is needed afterward. Headings, subheadings, and illustrations should be well incorporated into the main body of the article. Use Times New Roman font, size 12 and justified for English, Krutidev 10 and Asees for Hindi and Punjabi respectively. All portions of the articles should be single-line spaced. Submissions with Typographical/ Grammatical Errors and Spelling mistakes will be rejected. Do not decorate your submission with lines, borders, special characters etc., which may lead to rejection.

 Kindly fill the enclosed form. Take out a print, fill it and sign it and send us back as a scanned copy as well as a hard copy. The papers without this form will be summarily rejected. In case of a paper with co-author, both the authors will have to submit the form.

Your suggestions for improvement of the journal are welcome. Kindly note that maintaining the quality of research is our shared responsibility.

Shodhdhara considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to us, that they have not been published already (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. To expedite the review process, all manuscripts submitted to Shodhdhara must be prepared according to the following format.

Language: Papers are accepted in English, Hindi & Punjabi languages.

Word length: Articles should be between 2,500 and 5,000 words.

Cover Page: This contains the title of the manuscript (50 words maximum), all author names and their corresponding affiliations as well as complete mailing address, telephone, and fax number, and E-mail. The designated corresponding author must be identified by an asterisk.

Title Page: The second page consists of the manuscript title, abstract (maximum of 300 words that reflects an abbreviated representation of the content of the manuscript including purpose, method, main results, conclusions, and/or recommendations), and up to seven keywords for indexing purposes. To facilitate the double-blind review process no material that identifies the author(s) should be placed on this page.

Text: For full-length papers, the text should consist of an Introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, Conclusions, acknowledgments and references. Abbreviations should be fully spelled out in parentheses the first time that they are used in the text.

References: Only works actually cited in the text should be included in the references.  References list should be alphabetized in the last names of the first author of each research paper.
